Technology Education & Manufacturing
The Technology Education and Manufacturing (Shop Academy) introduces students to woodworking, construction skills, and manufacturing concepts through hands-on learning. Students learn how to safely use tools, build projects, and understand how structures and materials work together.
By 8th grade, students have the opportunity to earn an industry-recognized carpentry certification, giving them a strong start in construction and skilled trades pathways.
- Hands-on, project-based learning
- Real-world construction and manufacturing skills
- Career exploration in skilled trades
- Team-based collaboration and creativity
Students work in a supervised shop environment where they practice safety procedures, learn to use hand and power tools, and complete woodworking projects. They measure materials, follow construction plans, and build projects while developing teamwork, responsibility, and pride in their work.
