Visual Arts

The Ransom Middle School Art program educates approximately 280 students each academic year and offers instruction in drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, printmaking and digital art.

Course offerings for the 2025 - 26 academic year include a semester introduction to Visual Art for 6th grade, Digital Art (Mixed Media) for 7th and 8th grades, and Studio Art for 7th and 8th grades for our art club, Art Studio 501. Each course offers hands-on art instruction and uses consumable supplies to produce artworks.

Student artwork adorns our school and is frequently displayed at school events, such as our Spring Gallery Night. Many students’ artworks are exhibited at the Pensacola Interstate Fair, Great Gulf Coast Art Festival, Pensacola Museum of Art, and at Bright Images and are recognized for outstanding achievement each year.
